College GameDay is on site for a heavyweight matchup between Penn State and Michigan. Who is the College GameDay guest picker for Week 8?

All of the pomp and circumstance that goes with the College GameDay rotation is finally over and done with. The neutral site game is out of the way (Week 1 – Alabama vs. Florida) as is a trip to New York City (Week 4). The last of the atypical weekends took place in Week 7 when the show traveled to their promised FCS game of the year at James Madison.

Now it’s time for the meat and potatoes. No. 2 Penn State and No. 19 Michigan square off in a weekend jam packed with high-quality college football. A new face will take a turn alongside the weekly College GameDay crew of Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Lee Corso. The Week 8 College GameDay guest picker is quite a throwback in Ki-Jana Carter. He played running back at Penn State from 1992-94 and rushed for 2,829 yards and 34 touchdowns.

This year’s guests most recently included former President James Madison (sort of). Outside of the actor portraying Madison and Corso dressing up as the Statue of Liberty in New York, the remaining slate of guest pickers has been both exciting and star-studded. There have been representatives from every realm of entertainment.

Music stars Sam Hunt (Week 1) and Tim McGraw (Week 6) have joined the staff for a weekend. Hunt posted the best mark yet, correctly selecting nine of ten games.

Former football stars included Eddie George (Week 2) and Bruce Smith (Week 5). Rick Pitinio, former Louisville basketball coach, was the guest picker in Week 3 and Keegan-Michael Key was the guest in New York City during the Week 4 show.

Penn State’s home bout with Michigan is the marquee game of the day, but the crew will have several other big games to choose from. No. 11 USC visits No. 13 Notre Dame, No. 21 Auburn travels to Arkansas and upset artist Syracuse plays at Miami.
