Penn State Football: Saquon Barkley makes wild TD catch vs. Michigan (Video)
Penn State football has been graced with Saquon Barkley’s presence and he’s showing off against Michigan on Saturday night.
Heading into Saturday night’s game against No. 19 Michigan, Penn State football was out for some big-time revenge. Just a season ago, the Wolverines humiliated the Nittany Lions 49-10 in Ann Arbor, and this team hadn’t forgotten.
James Franklin only wanted to talk about Michigan all week long and he kept his players focused on the task at hand. How couldn’t they be, though? Michigan embarrassed them a season ago and if it wasn’t for that loss in Ann Arbor, the Nittany Lions may have been in the College Football Playoff.
One of the players that remember that loss more than anyone else was Saquon Barkley. Arguably the nation’s top running back, and overall athlete, Barkley watched as his team couldn’t muster any offense in that 2016 loss.
Barkley made sure the 2017 game would be much different. After dominating on his first three carries, including a long touchdown run, Barkley showed off his catching ability in the fourth quarter with a back-breaking touchdown catch to extend the lead to three scores.
Watch the incredible concentration-based catch:
Penn State is taking it to the Wolverines on Saturday evening and revenge looks to be exacted. While the Wolverines started the season ranked high, the expectations may have been a little too lofty for such a young team.
