Josh Rosen showed why most view him as a future NFL starting quarterback, leading UCLA football to a much-needed 31-14 victory over Oregon Saturday in afternoon Pac-12 action.

Rosen didn’t reach his season average for passing yards, but he didn’t need to. The junior threw for just over 250 yards with a pair of touchdowns, as the Bruins found a running game to compliment him.

On the other side of the football, the UCLA defense limited Braxton Burmeister to 74 yards passing to help keep the Bruins unbeaten inside the Rose Bowl this season. Following a rough 1-3 stretch that included a pair of losses to conference rivals Stanford and Arizona on the road, UCLA finds themselves with some momentum as they head into a key stretch of the season.

Next up for the Bruins are back-to-back road dates with Washington and Utah before returning home to meet an Arizona State team that is firing on all cylinders after dropping Utah. UCLA closes with in-state rivals USC and California in late November.

Oregon and first-year head coach Willie Taggart, meanwhile, are still searching for some answers after an injury sent starting quarterback Justin Herbert to the sidelines. The Ducks have lost three straight and four of five. They host Utah next weekend and finish with three of four at home.

Here are three takeaways from UCLA’s 31-14 win over Oregon on Saturday:
