3. Cam Phillips climbs to No. 1
Hokies’ standout receiver Cam Phillips climbed to the top of the Virginia Tech receiving charts. The senior receiver’s five catches gave him 212 for his career. He surpassed Hokies’ great Isaiah Ford who had 210 for his career.

His third quarter touchdown grab made the score 42-0, and the Hokies were well on their way to a dominating win. Virginia Tech also scored touchdowns on a fumble return, interception, and punt return.
Phillips now has six touchdown receptions on the season and has caught a ball in each game. His continued play-making ability gives the Hokies an explosive play-maker and a chance to move the scoreboard on every possession. Look for Virginia Tech to continue to make him an integral part of its offense going forward.
