3. Jordan Ta’amu gets first career victory against Arkansas in Week 9

The battle for last place in the SEC West should take place in Week 9 between the Arkansas Razorbacks and Ole Miss. If Patterson were healthy, Ole Miss might have been the clear favorite to come away with the victory.

Arkansas is coming off three straight losses, in which they were dominated on each occasion. Last week, the Hogs fell short to the Auburn Tigers by the final score of 52-20. The previous two weeks had seen Arkansas lose to the No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide and South Carolina Gamecocks.

Jordan Ta’amu will now start in place of the injured Patterson. He came in relief of Patterson in the 40-24 loss to the LSU Tigers in Week 8 while throwing for 78 yards and no tossing a single interception.

Before Patterson’s exit, he had a rough going with no passing touchdowns and three interceptions while completing less than half of his passes. This is a big opportunity for Ta’amu to make a case for why he is a starting caliber quarterback in the SEC.
