3. Will Grier is changing this program

The type of game that Will Grier had against Baylor was nothing short of amazing. Grier tossed five touchdowns with 375 passing yards and no interceptions. It’s the third time that Grier has tossed five touchdowns in one game.

Yet, this was the first time that Grier threw for 375 yards this season. This was also only the second game this year that Grier did not throw an interception. Baylor has an opportune defense under head coach Matt Rhule as well.

Up to this point, Grier has 21 touchdown passes and only five interceptions and he also eclipsed the 2,000 yard passing mark in this contest. Grier has taken this offense to a new level than it was under former quarterback Skyler Howard.

A player who has directly gotten to benefit from the breakout of Grier is wide receiver David Sills V. With a dormant West Virginia ground attack, Sills V picked up the slack. He caught seven passes for 136 yards and three touchdowns.
