Auburn Football: 5 overreactions from Week 8 win vs. Arkansas
By Shelbie Warr
Auburn football rebounded in a big way from its loss last week with a blow out win over Arkansas. This win kept the Tigers in the race for the West.
Auburn’s season took a big hit last week with a loss to LSU. They were shutdown for the majority of the second half, allowing the Tigers to make a 20-point comeback. Auburn responded the best way they could, with a 52-20 beat down of the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Of course, you do have to take into consideration how bad the Hogs have been this season. They are 2-4 and bottom dwellers in the SEC. However, Auburn played a clean game in all facets and executed in a way that allowed this game to be as successful as possible.
The Auburn Tigers have a long way to go since their fall from grace- and the top ten- after losing to LSU. However, they put their season back on track with this win for sure. This team outgained the Razorbacks 629-334 en route to a 32-point victory.
The Tigers will take a bye week before heading to sudden defensive power Texas A&M. They also still have the likes of Georgia and Alabama on their schedule — both of which are ranked in the top four.
Winning out will be a tall task to say the least for Auburn. Before we jump ahead though, let’s focus on the success they had against Arkansas. Here are my five overreactions from Saturday’s SEC West Showdown.
