5. Kerryon Johnson, Kamryn Pettway are perfect one-two punch

Much has been said about Kerryon Johnson, and rightfully so. He is tied for first in the NCAA in terms of rushing touchdowns with 14 in six games and is at No. 21 in total rush yards with 723. Those numbers are impressive for anyone and Auburn fans are high on him.

However, many have forgotten about Kamryn  Pettway. He rushed for 1,224 yards a season ago, but has been sidelined for a bit due to leg and ankle injuries. But Pettway was back in a big way on Saturday against Arkansas. He finished with 11 carries for 90 yards and three touchdowns. Welcome back Pettway, Auburn has missed you.

Kerryon Johnson added another 63 yards on 21 carries and another touchdown. The duo was instrumental in Auburn’s big time win in Fayetteville.

Auburn now has two guys with the ability to go the distance in the running back position. It would be good for them to use them both, working out somewhat of a one-two punch to wear down opposing defenses. They will need all the help they can get with the likes of Alabama and Georgia waiting in the wings.
