After week 8, the Big Ten football power rankings are reshuffled again, particularly in the middle of the conference
Week 8 in the Big Ten has come and gone. The marquee game against Penn State and Michigan turned into a runaway for the Nittany Lions. How far will Michigan fall in this week’s power rankings? Maybe not far considering the teams behind them.
While Penn State was solidifying the top spot, Rutgers surprised the league. Yes you read it correctly. The Rutgers Scarlet Knights have now won two consecutive conference games. Kudos to them. I’ve mocked them in this space on more than one occasion this season so they’ve earned a reprieve this week.
The middle of the conference is very tough to figure out so there are movements there this week, but the top of the conference is pretty stable. Let’s take a gander at the full power rankings heading into the last Saturday of October.
