The Gamecocks were on a bye week after their win over Arkansas. South Carolina stays at home this week when they welcome the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Following their upset loss to LSU, Auburn needed a win. The Tigers did just that with their domination of Arkansas. Arkansas isn’t the same team they’ve been in the past few seasons and Auburn took full advantage of that by running wild and putting up points; while also limiting the Razorback offense. Arkansas was able to still score 20, which means the Auburn defense still has some things to work on.

When scoring in bunches, it really doesn’t matter how much the defense gives up, but in games against better teams such as Georgia and Alabama, the Tigers will have to clamp down. Auburn will now head into their bye week looking to getting its defense back to performing the way it did in games against Clemson and Mississippi State. Auburn will face Texas A&M in College Station after their bye.
