Many Big Ten football teams are beginning to have multiple versions of home and away uniforms, but which teams have the most interesting combos?
The stress and anticipation of the first College Football Playoff (CFP) rankings are beginning to take over college football fans’ minds all over the country, and while the thoughts of all our favorite teams’ next games are looming, it is never a bad idea to go away from the Xs and Os for a little bit.
The idea of uniform and jersey combos have become a big part of the game and even more so in recruiting, as the presence of big-named corporations like Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour have more of an implication than people think.
As the 2017 college football season begins the latter part of the year, Saturday Blitz is proud to present its 2017 conference uniform rankings series, starting first with the Big Ten.
The criteria of best combos and style is based off of three main components:
- Color scheme
- Variety
- Uniqueness
Of course, many people have different opinions as to why a uniform combination may or may not work. Some schools may choose to go with a traditional style, one that has been working for years — while others, such as the Oregon Ducks, may come out with a new look every week. Depending on who is reading this list, it is very possible that someone will either fully agree or completely disagree.
