Notre Dame football is having a very successful season. The Fighting Irish welcome a surging NC State team on Saturday and here’s why they’ll win.

This Notre Dame team is quite interesting. You may not have heard much about them, but they have the potential to make a big impact on the playoff race as the season winds down. On the other side, NC State has made a surprising splash this season. Both teams are 6-1 on the season and looking to sneak their way into the playoff.

Notre Dame’s only loss came to Georgia in week two, a game they lose by all of one point. Since then, they have been an offensive firepower, winning games by at least 20 points. Last week, they flattened USC 49-14. They now welcome NC State, hoping to continue their strong offensive performances.

NC State’s only loss came to South Carolina to open the season. That loss is looking worse and worse as the Gamecocks struggle to get really anything going. However, since then they have gotten wins over the likes of Florida State and Louisville. Of course, Florida State is without their starting quarterback and has been since Week 2.

Outside of those two, NC State hasn’t played many strong teams. However, neither has Notre Dame. The winner of this game will stay in the playoff conversation. The loser, not so much. I’ve got Notre Dame winning, and here are my five reasons as to why.
