1. Josh Adams for Heisman

We just talked about him in the last slide, but he’s made such an impact he gets his own section. Josh Adams has been the bulk of Notre Dame’s offense this season and it shows in his stat lines. He has 967 yards so far this season and eight touchdowns.

To put that in perspective, he has as many rushing touchdowns to his name as his quarterback has passing touchdowns. Already this year he has seven runs of 59 yards or more. That’s insane. Check out this kids highlight reel.

NC State has a strong run defense, there is no question about it. For them to win though, they will have to stop Josh Adams. That is something very few teams have figured out. The Irish run the ball 72 percent of the time an if its not Adams it’s Wimbush. Georgia had success, limiting the ground game to 1.5 yards an attempt. If NC State can accomplish that, they would knock Notre Dame down a peg or two.

However, as it stands, I can’t see Notre Dame falling to NC State with Josh Adams carrying the ball like he has been. He will need his offensive line to help him out, as will Wimbush as he tries to increase their passing game, but this game could be just another bleep on the Josh Adams for Heisman highlight reel.
