3. This game will be closer than you think

I am in no way convinced that Texas Tech comes out of Norman with a victory. However, I truly believe that this game will be closer than many believe. The Oklahoma defense has struggled to hold leads so far this season, finding themselves in close games at the start of the fourth quarter when they were winning by at least two scores earlier in the match up.

Last season, as discussed in the video below, Texas Tech shocked Oklahoma in Lubbock. They will look to avoid that same state of shock this time around. To do so, they will need to play all four quarters like it’s their last chance, last snap of the game.

However, if the Sooners defense plays either half seemingly asleep like they have the past few weeks, this could be a wake up call for them. Due to their lack of urgency on the defensive side of the ball, I think this could end up a close game. Baker Mayfield ultimately leads his team to a win, but the Raiders put up a good fight.

My bold prediction? The Sooners win this one by 10 points or fewer.
