Oklahoma football is coming off of a close win against Kansas State and looks to reassert its dominance against Texas Tech in Week 9.

Texas Tech has lost two conference games in a row and now has to travel to Norman to face the Sooners. Oklahoma is coming off of a close win against Kansas State and the wizard Bill Snyder. Look for Oklahoma to assert itself against a reeling Red Raider team.

The Texas Tech defense has regressed to its former habits. Texas Tech has always relied on its offense to keep them in games and that is not happening. If they have any chance of keeping it close they have to put up points. Defensively Tech must not give up chunk plays and make Oklahoma predictable.

Oklahoma came back strong against Kansas State following its loss to Iowa State. Kansas State gave the Sooners all they could handle but in the end Oklahoma prevailed. Baker Mayfield continues to have an impressive year. The emergence of Trey Sermon has also helped the Sooner offense.

Historically Texas Tech is 6-18 against the Sooners and 1-6 in this decade. On the bright side their one win this decade was the 2011 match up in Norman. Other than that Oklahoma has dominated the series. The Sooners plan to continue that trend on Saturday.
