4. Strong and steady wins the race for Penn State

Yes, Ohio State is tied for the number one spot in the nation in terms of total offense. However, they have done so against the likes of Rutgers, Army and Nebraska. Ohio State hasn’t faced a defense that has allowed less than 21.3 points per game. Penn State allows 9.6.

On the flip side, Penn State took on Michigan and the No. 1 ranked defense in the nation last weekend. How did that go? Six touchdowns, 506 yards and 42 points for the Lions.

This offense is strong, steady and ready to take on Ohio State. The Buckeyes have the ability to match Penn State offensively, step for step, however the Nittany Lions have a much stronger defense than any team they have faced up till now. That includes Oklahoma, who took down the Buckeyes 31-16 earlier this year.

Look for quarterback Trace McSorley to have a big night against a not so great Ohio State secondary to give Penn State the win.
