5. The Razorbacks lack defense

In the beginning of the season, Arkansas’ defense pulled a Penn and Teller type illusion and made themselves look decent. Against cupcake teams at the start of the season, they looked like they had really turned things around from last season. Unfortunately, when real football games came, that was not the case.

Arkansas’ defense is horrific. In the national rankings, the Razorbacks come in at 85th in total defense, 100th in rushing defense and 61st in passing defense. Out of five Power 5 opponents, only one team scored under 41 points against the Razorbacks.

Numbers don’t lie and the numbers are clearly saying that Arkansas’ defense is about as good at stopping a team as well as 11 cardboard cutouts put on the field. This week may not have them pitted against a scoring juggernaut, however, Arkansas will still struggle to stop Ole Miss.
