1. Jim McElwain might be gone

This week has been an odd one for Florida. More specifically, it’s been a strange week for head coach Jim McElwain. After he talked about receiving death threats, it later seemed as if there was a bit of untruth to that.

Then today, there was talk that the coach’s agent was in negotiations for a buyout. Later on, Florida athletic director, Scott Stricklin said that no one was in conversation regarding a buyout.

For some reason, however, I don’t really believe Stricklin. I have had many conversations with Florida fans and none of them are happy with the job Jim is doing in Gainesville. As the Gators look at the wreckage from today, I am sure the fans will be looking for the program to find a new direction to go in.

Florida is now sitting at 3-4 and Jim is getting too much attention for his comments earlier in the week as well as the product he has put on the field. This season isn’t going anywhere close to his way and as it keeps going, I don’t see Florida sticking with him any longer.
