2. Iowa State is Big 12 Cinderella but Bedlam will decide champion

On Saturday afternoon and into Saturday night, the epicenter of college football was in Ames, Iowa for even just a brief moment. The Iowa State Cyclones defeated the TCU Horned Frogs and added to what turned out to be a chaotic Saturday. However, what happens this coming Saturday will go much longer when you talk about two plays in the now returning, Big 12 title game.

Both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State still have a small chance of being one of the lucky one-loss teams that could be in the playoff at seasons end. However, one team will see their dreams end this Saturday in Stillwater for Bedlam. Like, some teams have done on a few occasions this season it will be an elimination game for the Sooners and Cowboys.

The winner moves a step closer to the playoff while the loser can only hope to play in the Big 12 title game. As Iowa State begins the final four-game stretch to seal up a spot in the Big 12 title game, it’s possible that that the Cyclones can run the table and maybe even go 3-1 and still have a chance but with three road games and Oklahoma State at home, it’s going to be quite difficult.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State could meet in the first of possibly two Bedlam games. One to keep yourself in the playoff hunt and one to win the Big 12 title and possibly make the playoff.
