If you see Florida State Football fans walking around a looking confused and befuddled, excuse them. Here are five bold predictions for November.

The Seminoles are entering uncharted territory as we begin November for most of their coaches, players and fans. Following a second straight loss, Florida State and head coach Jimbo Fisher face the cold-heart reality that a 35-year string of bowl games could come to an end this season.

Last Friday night, FSU was manhandled by Boston College, falling 35-3. That came on the heels of a 31-28 setback to Louisville.

Over their last four games, the Seminoles are just 1-3, besting Duke by seven. The other loss during that time came on a last-minute touchdown pass by rival Miami.

With games this month against Syracuse, at Clemson, Delaware State and at Florida, the ‘Noles could move to 6-5 and qualify for a bowl. Is that a real possibility, though, after seeing them pretty much quit vs. BC?

We will soon find out.

For as much hard-luck as the Seminoles have had, they have also been hit by the injury bug. Star quarterback Deondre Francois went out for the season in the opener vs. Alabama, running back Jacques Patrick was recently lost for the remainder of the year and several other key contributors and regulars have missed time.

Three of the five losses have been by a combined 13 points, meaning with a little luck – and a healthy run – Fisher’s crew could be sitting at 5-2 and likely would have had more incentive vs. Boston College.
