Yes, the Hurricanes remained unbeaten with a five-point victory at North Carolina, but they continue to live on the edge.

The victory marked the fourth straight by eight points or less for Mark Richt’s resurgent squad.

Malik Rosier passed for 356 yards and three touchdowns, but the ground unit ran for only 59, with Travis Homer being held to 40 yards on 16 carries. Jeff Thomas had a big day, catching three passes for 101 yards and a score.

Rosier continues to look like the future, as he has passed for 2,071 yards with 17 touchdowns and just four interceptions on 252 attempts. Homer has moved over the 500-yard mark since taking over the job for the injured Mark Walton and Thomas now joins a deep receiving group that includes Braxton Berrios, Christopher Herndon IV and Ahmmon Richards.

The action heats up this Saturday, as the Hurricanes welcome Virginia Tech to town for a showdown in the ACC Coastal.

It also marks the first of two straight key games for Miami as they push towards a return to the national spotlight with Notre Dame visiting next Saturday.
