At the end of October, there are some big changes to the Big Ten football power rankings including a new team at the top of the rankings.
All Big Ten teams were in action on the last Saturday of October. There were many close games and a couple of surprises. The big game was in Columbus between the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions. The game did not disappoint as the Lions had multiple score leads throughout but the Buckeyes prevailed in the end, beating the Lions by a point.
Elsewhere in the conference, Michigan State lost its first conference game of the season in a thrilling triple overtime game against Northwestern. Wisconsin slept walk through another game, but they kept in the win column. Finally up in Ann Arbor, there has been a change at starting quarterback and the move yielded good results.
The power rankings this week are tough to sort out. The top is quite clear, but there are still questions about some of the teams with a month left in the regular season. All of the bye weeks are over so we have a full month of football left. Hopefully some answers will be provided as the division races come to a conclusion. Let’s get to the full power rankings for Week 10.
