After the release of the first College Football Playoff rankings in Week 10, who got snubbed? These teams were ranked far too low.

It’s finally here. The first College Football Playoff rankings have officially been released and the top four aren’t exactly major surprises, outside of the No. 1 team, but throughout the top 25 there were some big-time snubs.

Teams didn’t get ranked where they deserved to this week and that will happen until the final poll comes out in December — that’s just how it goes. There’s always going to be some debate about who should be ranked where, and the first rankings come with some controversy.

Who was snubbed in the first release of the 2017 College Football Playoff rankings?

An undefeated Miami team all the way down at No. 10? That’s a little bit of a slap in the face, right? Mark Richt’s team is being overlooked right now in the ACC because of that relatively easy schedule with the best win coming against a Florida State team that has since fallen to 2-5 on the year.

The Hurricanes look like a beatable team with a number of wins by a score or less including against the likes of Syracuse, Florida State, North Carolina and Georgia Tech. Sure, there’s more to prove, but an undefeated record in the ACC is nothing to scoff at.

Miami has a chance to prove itself and move up drastically in the rankings in the coming weeks with matches against Virginia Tech, Notre Dame and Virginia. If the Hurricanes can put together a strong final month of the season and head to the conference title game unbeaten, there’s a good chance the top-four could come calling.
