This weekend, the Big 12-leading Iowa State Cyclones will go to Morgantown for a showdown with the West Virginia Mountaineers.

If Iowa State wins this matchup and their remaining schedule, they could close to the top-four by the end of the weekend. But winning in Morgantown is never an easy task.

Here are three bold predictions for the game.

3. Will Grier will not throw for 300 yards

In Will Grier’s last game, he didn’t pass for 300 yards for the first time this season. I think the same will happen against the Cyclones. But it won’t be because he can’t, it will be because the gameplan will be to run against the Cyclone defense.

In both of Iowa State’s losses, the Cyclones were outrushed by the opponents. To win the game, West Virginia will need to get Justin Crawford going on the ground.

Over the first five games of the season he averaged over 110 yards per game and over seven yards per carry. In the last three games, he hasn’t even broken 50 yards in a game.

Grier is a great quarterback to have at your disposal, but he is even better when you can get seven yards a carry from Crawford.
