Penn State Football: 3 bold predictions against No. 24 Michigan State
By Jesse Smith
1. Trace McSorley will have over 300 total yards, three TDs
Senior quarterback Trace McSorley is arguably one of the best in the nation, but against the Buckeyes he had his second lowest completion rate of the season at 58.6 percent, he averages 65.9 percent on the season so the Buckeyes held him 7.3 percent under his season average.
McSorley finished with 192 yards on 17-for-29 passing and two touchdowns. He also ran for 49 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown. The previous week he torched Michigan for over 350 total yards and four touchdowns. I personally expect him to have a solid bounce-back game like his counterpart Saquon Barkley. McSorley will make plays with his arm and feet against the stout Spartans defense and help his team get back on the winning side of things.
Teams only average 193.6 yards per game passing against the Spartans, but I’m willing to bet that the senior has at least 250 yards through the air on Saturday, at least 50 yards rushing and three total touchdowns.

If the Spartans can score on the Nittany Lions these numbers will increase, but like I said in the other slides I don’t see Michigan State wanting to get into a shootout with Penn State, I don’t think it would be wise. With that being said bank on a good game from McSorley.
