1. The Aggies win

There’s just something about Auburn that doesn’t quite seem right. Stidham was brought in to provide a vertical passing threat that was lacking under John Franklin III and Sean White. Through the Tigers’ first eight games that hasn’t materialized. Stidham has thrown for eight touchdowns and three interceptions and is averaging 183 yards passing against SEC teams.

Stidham was sold as the missing piece for an Auburn program ready to make the jump and challenge Alabama. Rather than that he’s become a glorified game manager. He has two touchdown passes on the road this season.

The Texas A&M rushing defense has made tremendous strides since last season. They’ve dropped their average rushing yards allowed from 237.6 to 189.0. That’s not stellar, but it’s better. If they can hold the Auburn rushing attack around that number the Tigers will be put into more than a few challenging positions.

The Aggies will force Jarrett Stidham to beat them, and there’s not evidence to suggest he’s capable of doing that. This team just lost to Mississippi State in a game that wasn’t close. Nevertheless, this team is going to bounce back and grind out a tough home victory.
