2. Kelly Bryant shakes off the rust

Bryant suffered a concussion in the Tigers’ loss to Syracuse in Week 7. Clemson was fortunate enough to have the bye week up next, giving Bryant a chance to rest and recover. He took the field against Georgia Tech without missing a start, but he left Clemson fans looking for a bit more.

Throughout the season Bryant has shown flashes of potential. Yet against the Yellow Jackets he completed 22 of 33 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns. He added 12 carries for 67 yards. Clemson can afford a few less-than-stellar games for Bryant thanks to their defense and strong rushing attack, but that’s not going to cut it come Playoff time.

Consider this Bryant’s coming out party. The Clemson starter has one game of 300+ yards passing and one game of 100+ rushing yards so far this season. His season high in touchdowns came against Louisville when he threw one touchdown pass and rushed for two scores.

Bryant tops all of those numbers against the Wolfpack. The NC State defense isn’t shabby, but Bryant is going to prove he’s on a whole different level.
