5. Ole Miss wins out to finish 7-5 on the year

Yes, I know you’re laughing right now. But you didn’t read this to get safe predictable predictions that anyone else could give you. You came here for bold predictions. Obviously this is the most unlikely of the predictions you’ll read here, but it is possible.

Possible. Not likely. Let me make sure that’s understood. With the way the Ole Miss defense plays, you may as well throw this prediction out the window, but the Rebel defense is a different story.

Even after the loss of Shea Patterson, the offense hummed under Jordan Ta’amu. The talent surrounding him helps. The emergence of the Rebel run game helps as well, Jordan Wilkins has been a beast since the Alabama game. Kentucky is a winnable game for Ole Miss. The Rebels should beat Louisiana. Ole Miss beat Texas A&M last year and very well could do it again.

The final game against Mississippi State is probably the most improbable, but after all the off-field drama this season the Rebels better have a chip the size of North America on their shoulder when they face the Bulldogs.

Again, while not likely, this is college football. You never know what can happen. That’s why I’m going out on the limb to say Ole Miss wins out.
