UCLA Football: 5 bold predictions for the Bruins in November 2017
By Dana Becker
As we wind down this 2017 season, UCLA football still has plenty to play for. Here are five bold predictions for the final month.
Quarterback Josh Rosen’s future remains a mystery, as does that of head coach Jim Mora.
Will the Bruins have both a new signal-caller and leader next year? What happens over these final four games in November could determine both.
First up is a road date with Utah in a meeting of 4-4 teams searching to gain a foot-hold in the Pac-12 standings.
UCLA has gone just 1-2 over its last three, falling to 2-3 in the league with wins over Oregon and Colorado, and losses to Stanford, Arizona and Washington most recently.
If the Bruins are able to finish out strong and pull an upset in a few weeks against rival Southern Cal, maybe Mora will save his job and in turn talk Rosen into returning for a final season.
However, if the year plays out like it already has for the team, you can expect some crazy finishes and high-scoring shootouts out west.
Along with Utah and USC, the Bruins also host Arizona State and California.
Rosen, meanwhile, is currently battling an injury that knocked him out of the game last week with the Huskies. While not as serious as his previous injury, what the junior is able to show for NFL scouts from here on out will play a key role in his own future.
