UCLA Football: 5 bold predictions for the Bruins in November 2017
By Dana Becker
5. Josh Rosen is leaving UCLA
With how last week played out for Rosen, it almost seems like a foregone conclusion that he is playing his final few games in a UCLA uniform.
From a health standpoint alone, it really makes no sense for him to continue playing college football.
Over the course of his career, Rosen has battled injuries, including one that limited him to just a handful of games last year.
If he is able to return to anywhere near 100 percent over the final month of this year, and a bowl game if UCLA makes it that far, he will have given NFL general managers and scouts plenty of film to break down before the draft.
On the year, Rosen is completing a career-best 63 percent of his passes with 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He has thrown for 2,713 yards, which includes a 491-yard performance vs. Texas A&M in the season opener, along with back-to-back 400-yard games vs. Memphis and Stanford.
Interestingly enough, the Bruins are just 1-2 when Rosen goes over 400 yards, as he does have four of his eight picks in those games.
For UCLA fans, they better enjoy all that is Josh Rosen because he’ll likely be playing elsewhere next season.
