1. The Bruins will go bowling

They might do it minus Mora and Rosen, but UCLA will reach the minimum six wins to become bowl eligible this year after missing out on the postseason a season ago.

If I had to guess, I’d go with 6-6 for the Bruins by the end of November, finishing with wins at home over Arizona State and California around road losses to Utah and USC. Playing away from Pasadena just has not been kind to this team, as they have lost to Memphis, Stanford, Arizona and Washington, with only the Memphis defeat being a close game.

As mentioned, Mora might lose his job as head coach regardless of what happens after splitting his first eight games this year following a 4-8 campaign last season. And maybe Rosen plays out the season but opts to skip a bowl to prepare for the NFL.

Either way, there is enough young talent on this team to make a bowl trip worth while no matter the location. Plus, freshman quarterback Devon Modster could definitely use the additional reps if he wants to hold off incoming recruit Thompson-Robinson next fall.
