3. Charlie Brewer is the future for the Baylor offense

Smith had made some good progress in the Baylor offense as the season went along. Yet, Rhule has tried three different starting quarterbacks with each having a bit more success than the last. Brewer seems to be the final answer for the Bears.

The season started with former Arizona transfer Anu Solomon getting the nod. Solomon was not able to establish anything effective, leading Baylor to losses against teams like the Liberty Flames out of the FCS and the UTSA Roadrunners.

Now, Brewer is making some real strides in a very short period of time. Since he attempted his first pass of his career in a contest against the Oklahoma State Cowboys earlier in the season, Brewer has not tossed a single interception.

Brewer easily went over 300 passing yards in this game and helped ignite the entire offense. He ran into a tough situation in Week 9 against a very good defense in the Texas Longhorns. Week 10 was a vastly different story.
