3. Ryan Finley could be the best quarterback in the ACC

If there was any player involved in this contest that does not get a bright enough spotlight, it’s NC State quarterback Ryan Finley. NC State does have some big names on both sides of the ball including running back Nyheim Hines and defensive end Bradley Chubb.

The junior and former Boise State transfer is putting up some big numbers under the radar. Finley tossed only his first pick of the season against Notre Dame. Yet, Clemson could be the best defense that NC State has played against.

Finley did not throw a single interception against the Tigers. The secondary is not the strongest part of the Clemson defense. But, Finley did great against what might be the best defensive line in the country.

Since NC State controlled its own destiny entering this game, there was a lot of pressure on Finley’s shoulders. Yet, he handled all that pressure like he has all season and continued to perform at a high level.
