Kinnick Stadium is a dangerous place to play. Ohio State football found that out the hard way in Week 10, falling to the Iowa Hawkeyes 55-24.

Ohio State won in thrilling fashion against No. 2 Penn State in Week 9. With that great win at home under their belt most that they were well position to make a run at the College Football Playoff.

That dream was short lived. After being blasted by Iowa, Ohio State’s College Football Playoff hopes are slim to none. Here are three takeaways from Iowa’s 55-24 dominate win.

3. Josh Jackson is a baller

Junior cornerback Josh Jackson had a game of the ages for Iowa on Saturday, the young man had three interceptions. He had an O’Dell Beckham type catch in the fourth quarter that was simply amazing. He was the catalyst that enabled the Iowa defense to hold Ohio State to just 24 points.

Jackson came into the game with two interceptions on the season and left with five. Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett came into the game with only one interception on the season, but Jackson and his partners handed the Heisman hopeful four interceptions on Saturday afternoon.

With Desmond King playing in the NFL now it seems that Jackson (not the former Kansas Jayhawks basketball player) is holding it down for the Hawkeyes secondary. Future opponents beware: it might not be wise to throw in Jackson’s direction. He was a key cog in a defense that held the Buckeyes to less than 400 yards of total offense.

Sophomore defensive game Amani Hooker had an interception also which turned out to be a pick six from 30 yards out. The secondary was awesome all day. This win by Iowa has turned the Big Ten upside down.
