Jonathan Taylor will be a household name by season’s end

“The Wisconsin Badgers’ have an exceptional running back,” is something college football fans are used to hearing.

Corey Clement rushed for 1,300 yards and 15 touchdowns a season ago. Before Clement, it was Melvin Gordon and James White piling up the yards and endzone visits. And before those two, Montee Ball was the one toting the rock for the Badgers.

Now, it’s Jonathan Taylor’s turn. Taylor has amassed over 1,300 yards and 12 touchdowns already in only eight games. Did I mention he’s a freshman?

His 100-yard performance against Indiana was his sixth game eclipsing the century mark, and three times has he gone over 200 yards. If Wisconsin continues winning – and Taylor keeps racking up these 100-yard performances – he’ll definitely enter  the Heisman discussion.
