Many teams played quality competition in Week 10, lessening the blow of defeat. Which three schools suffered the worst losses of the weekend?

There were a lot of ghastly defeats in Week 10, as teams fell out of conference contention and rivalries ended in heartbreak. Given the glut of bad breaks for good teams, it made it especially tough to settle on the worst losses of the week.

There was Colorado State’s late giveaway of the Bronze Boot to Wyoming in Laramie, as the Cowboys prevailed in the Border War 16-13. Penn State fell apart in a weather-marred performance, losing the Land Grant Trophy and a shot at the Big Ten title on a last-second field goal to Michigan State.

Appalachian State tied up its contest with Louisiana-Monroe in the final minute of regulation, only to have the Warhawks come back and score the winning touchdown with 23 seconds to spare. And Iowa State dropped back in the Big 12 race, falling flat early at West Virginia before falling four points short in its comeback bid.

As painful as those defeats were for each fan base, those teams earned mere honorable mentions when it comes to the worst losses of the week. Amazingly, there were three even more terrible defeats that came during Week 10 action. Keep reading for more on the three worst losses of Week 10.
