4. Jake Browning is not the same

Junior quarterback Jake Browning has not had that big of a role in the last two weeks. Victories over Oregon and the UCLA Bruins came pretty easy to the Huskies. Yet, Arizona State has not been friendly to Browning in his career and that might be the same narrative this season.

Browning injured his shoulder against the Sun Devils last season and that is the only team to defeat the Huskies so far in 2017. He has not been the same since the road loss to Arizona State. It took Browning until the second quarter of the Oregon game to register his first passing touchdown in three contests.

This does not look like the same Browning that we saw at the beginning of the season, totaling eight touchdowns between the Oregon State and Fresno State games. It might be injury or just a crisis of confidence after the loss.

Washington will need a big response from Browning in Week 11 against Stanford since the Cardinal will be hungry for revenge after a loss of its own. The Playoff Selection Committee will also want to see an impressive string of performances from Browning.
