November did not start off well for Big Ten football. Only one team remains with a realistic shot for a playoff spot.
The top of the Big Ten power rankings is changing again this week, thanks to the top two teams losing in Week 10. A rough Saturday leaves only Wisconsin with a shot to represent the conference in the College Football Playoff.
Iowa surprised most of the conference by not only beating Ohio State, but dominated the Buckeyes. Penn State lost their second consecutive road game and have no shot now at making the playoff.
Elsewhere in the conference, Wisconsin continued its march to an undefeated season. Rutgers pulled off another conference win and Purdue finally got back into the win column after three straight losses. With Ohio State and Penn State going down, not many were talking about Michigan’s convincing win over Minnesota to retain the Little Brown Jug trophy.
With all the craziness happening, there will be changes across the entire Big Ten power rankings this week. Only three weeks are left in the season. Teams will be fighting for bowl berths, division titles, and rivalry bragging rights. Should be an exciting last few weeks of the regular season.
