Can Miami make the Playoff?

Miami’s playoff chances very much rely on this Saturday’s game against Notre Dame. If the Hurricanes can survive the anticipated dogfight, they have a very, very good chance at being in the four team field, assuming they win the ACC Championship. Many people can’t see how the committee could leave out an undefeated Miami team with wins over Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and their ACC title game opponent.

In only his second year at Miami, Mark Richt has already changed the culture in Coral Gables. It is similar to what it was under legendary head coach Howard Schnellenberger: a business like approach and taking it game-by-game . If this team is anything like the 1983 team that won the national championship, Malik Rosier will have to play the role of Bernie Kosar and play lights out the rest of the season.

The Hurricanes have the horses to make this run possible, it is just a matter of playing hard, fast and smart for Mark Richt’s squad.
