College Football Playoff Rankings 2017: Who got snubbed in Week 11?
2. Miami Hurricanes (No. 7)
Miami just can’t seem to get any respect these days and that’s just fine with Mark Richt. Ranked No. 7 behind one-loss teams such as Oklahoma, TCU, Notre Dame and Clemson isn’t exactly ideal, especially since the Tigers are in the same conference as the Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes are up from last week’s rankings ever so slightly, jumping Wisconsin, but after beating Virginia Tech soundly, the Hurricanes should be ahead of TCU, at the very least.
Everyone was waiting for the Hurricanes to take care of a ranked opponent with ease and they did just that with Virginia Tech. It will come down to a big matchup with Notre Dame to see if the Hurricanes can finally move up into that top four. A win over the Fighting Irish could finally give Rich’s team some respect.
With Travis Homer playing well and Malik Rosier improving by the week, outside of a shaky performance against the Hokies, the Hurricanes are going to be tough to beat.
