Week 11 SEC Football Power Rankings 2017: Auburn climbs before marquee matchup

Entering Week 11 of the SEC football season there are tiers forming in the south. Can anyone break through and join Alabama and Georgia at the top?

There are two kinds of teams in the SEC this season. The first is the unbeatens, Georgia and Alabama. The ranking between those two teams is razor-thin and the deciding game will take place in a few weeks, assuming Auburn doesn’t derail that potential showdown.

Auburn, a two-loss team, finds themselves stuck with the rest of the conference. The non-unbeaten teams have all looked beatable, and in the case of the cellar dwellers like Arkansas and Tennessee, extremely beatable.

Week 10 did not feature many major upsets, instead the favorites took care of business. As has become a sore spot over the recent years, many SEC schools faced their late-season cupcake game. Nobody lost, although the Razorbacks sure did come close. As a result it was hard to draw too much from those games. If everyone stayed healthy it was a success,
