4. LSU will still be down after Alabama loss

Believe it or not, LSU could be playing uninspired football on Saturday after losing to Alabama which diminished any slight hope it had of winning the SEC West. Sure, the Tigers were a long-shot already, but that loss eliminated them from contention.

Teams always seem to have a letdown game after being eliminated from contention for conference and division titles and for LSU, that will happen against Arkansas. Sure, it’s a home game and the Tigers are the better team, in my mind, but with how the season has gone for them, this wouldn’t be out of the ordinary.

Losing to Alabama may have taken the spirit from this team, even if Ed Orgeron will attempt to will it into his players. He’s one of the most passionate coaches in college football, but what exactly is the team playing for at this point? The Tigers are already bowl eligible and a New Year’s Six bowl os possible, but seems like a long-shot.

Expect the Tigers to have a letdown against a surprisingly-motivated Arkansas team still looking to make a bowl this season.
