3. Austin Allen will likely be back and healthy

While Cole Kelley has been solid in the absence of Austin Allen, the senior from Fayetteville is expected to return Saturday against LSU after missing the last four games. He didn’t have the best start to the season, passing for 850 yards with eight touchdowns and four picks with a 56 percent completion rate in five games. His record in that time was just 2-3.

Kelley came in and played well when Allen went down with a shoulder injury, passing for 1,002 yards with eight touchdowns and only three picks. He completed about 60 percent of his throws and led Arkansas to a 2-2 record. It seems that the Razorbacks can’t go wrong with whoever they start Saturday.

However, I think Allen should, and will, get the start, especially since Kelley is listed as questionable. If that’s the case, it will give Arkansas a good chance to win with a healthy quarterback with plenty of experience under his belt.

Although he hasn’t had the best season so far, he has the potential to be a top-tier quarterback in the SEC as he passed for 3,430 yards and 25 touchdowns a season ago. LSU’s defense will surprisingly struggle to stop the pass.
