4. Mike Riley, Nebraska

The Huskers continued their slump in mediocrity, losing to Northwestern in overtime 31-24. Nebraska has three out of their last four games, the only win being a one point victory against Purdue. Mike Riley’s seat is nearly on fire as the Huskers are in real danger of missing a bowl game for the first time since 2007. The schedule gives the Huskers little hope as they finish with Minnesota, Penn State and rival Iowa.

A win would briefly boost team moral, but increasing pressure from fans and boosters are calling for new AD Bill Moos to make a switch. After a promising 2016 season, where the Huskers finished 9-4, the 2017 team fell flat on its face from the start with losses to Oregon and Northern Illinois.

It does seem likely that Riley will no longer be the coach at the end of the season, as his buyout is only $1 million. But in the mean time he will have to salvage a disastrous season and try to make a bowl game.
