LSU welcomes a struggling Arkansas football team to Death Valley, looking to defend “The Boot.” Here is our preview of the matchup.

It is no secret that the Arkansas Razorbacks are struggling this season. In Week 10, they struggled to beat the likes of Costal Carolina. That is not great news for them heading into a match up with a Top 25 team like LSU. In all likelihood the Razorbacks will have a new coach next season, but for now their worry is stopping the Tigers.

On the other side of the ball, LSU is anything but struggling. They may have fallen to Alabama in Week 10, but it wasn’t a loss to lose any confidence over. As head coach Ed Orgeron said in his post game conference, the Tigers stood toe to toe with the Tide in the trenches and that is something to be immensely proud of.

These two teams, one coming off a loss and one coming off what might as well be one, will collide in Death Valley bright and early for a noon kick off. Here is how you can watch the match up.

Date: Saturday November 11
Time: 12:00 p.m. ET
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Venue: Tiger Stadium
TV: ESPN
Live Stream: WatchESPN

Keys to Victory

Let’s start with the Razorbacks. While I don’t see them coming out of Death Valley with a victory, it could happen. This is college football after all. The Razorbacks number one priority has to be stopping the run game. They cannot allow Derrius Guice and company to run all over them. The offensive line will also have a tall task of their own facing the likes of Devin White and Arden Key. They will have to be the stars of Saturday’s game if the Razorbacks have any hope at all.

For LSU, it’s as simple as treating Arkansas like any other opponent they have faced this season. Don’t get too cocky and think that this will be an easy win. They will need to play hard the whole game to put the Razorbacks away soundly. The Tigers should lean on their run game as the Razorbacks have proven that they struggle to stop a powerful ground game. LSU just needs to stick to the game plan and execute.

Prediction

This should be an easy win for the Tigers in Death Valley. Look for their defense, lead by Devin White, to have a big day against the struggling Arkansas offense. They will limit the Razorbacks to less than 200 yards of total offense and at most 7 points. Derrius Guice will rush for 150 and two more touchdowns in a game that will swing in the Tigers favor from the first snap. If you are an LSU fan, this will be a fun game to watch for sure.

Final Score: LSU 35 Arkansas 7
