Can TCU make the Playoff?

If TCU can win out the regular season, they will have beat three teams in the top 25 and two of them in the top 10. Add a conference championship if they can beat Oklahoma or Oklahoma State again and it will be hard to keep the Horned Frogs out of the College Football Playoff.

The Horned Frogs are not entirely flashy on offense. They are not always going to score a crazy amount of points like a lot of their conference brethren, the game against Kansas withstanding. But what makes TCU interesting is they can win games with their defense and as the saying goes, defense wins championships. Call me old school, but I like a team that is not afraid to hit you in the mouth.

The biggest problem is all the one loss teams right now and of course the undefeated teams left. With three weeks left to go, there is plenty of time for things to sort themselves out. Like all teams should be doing, focus on what you can control. TCU should not be worrying about other teams, but it is easier said than done with all the players on social media.

The biggest question though will be if Notre Dame loses. If the Irish win out, it will be tough for TCU or any other one loss team to make a case over them. If the Irish lose one, then the door will be open and the committee will have a real tough decision. The Horned Frogs are looking at a 20 percent chance of getting in right now, but the results of this upcoming weekend will drastically affect those odds.
