It’s the game of the week in the SEC. The top ranked, undefeated Georgia football head to No. 10 Auburn to take on the surging Tigers.

Georgia is flying high this season, sitting a top the SEC East and the College Football Playoff rankings. This will be the last top 10 match up for the Bulldogs until they take on the likes of Alabama, barring something crazy, in the SEC Championship game. Georgia will be there. Alabama should be as well, but first comes Auburn.

Auburn is likely one of the stronger opponents that the Bulldogs will face this year. They faced Notre Dame earlier this season, a team who joins Georgia in the top four, and won 20-19. Outside of the Irish, however, the Bulldogs haven’t faced a more complete team than the Auburn team they will face Saturday afternoon.

For the Tigers, this game has a lot more implications. If they want to stay alive in the SEC West race, this one is a must win. They still have a very outside chance of overtaking Alabama for that top spot after they fell to LSU, but the chance is still there. This is just the start of a tough few weeks for the Tigers as they take on Alabama in the last week of the season. Meanwhile, Georgia is simply looking to improve to 10-0 and defend their spot at the top of the rankings.

This is a big match up for the SEC and for College Football as a whole. Here are my three bold predictions for Saturday afternoon.
