Notre Dame football has established itself as legitimate playoff contender, but what will happen when they take on the No. 7 Hurricanes this Saturday? Here are three bold predictions for the Irish as they head down to Miami.

The 2017 season has been all the Irish could’ve asked for and more up to this point, but it could end in disappointment with a playoff-eliminating loss to the rival Hurricanes. However, the Irish are well suited to take on the Canes as they have faced off against top 15 competition on three occasions this season (No. 15 Georgia, No. 11 USC, No. 14 NC State).

With that said, the Irish have yet to face a team of Miami’s caliber. While the Irish have a more explosive offense as well as a more consistent defense, playing at Hard Rock Stadium provides enough challenges to put both teams on similar footing. With this game capable of going either way, college football fans around the country are going to want to tune in at 8:00 p.m.
