1. Josh Rosen back to form after suffering injury against Washington

At the end of October, Josh Rosen was forced to leave the field in the 44-23 loss to Washington. The undisclosed injury forced Rosen to miss the road trip to Utah at the beginning of November, and the Bruins lost 48-17 against the Utes to fall to 4-5.

Rosen returned in Week 11 for the showdown against Arizona State, and he was back to his prolific form in the victory over the Sun Devils. Rosen finished the game with 381 yards in the air and a touchdown on 25-of-45 passing, and he added another score on the ground for good measure.

It was the sixth time this season that Rosen threw for over 300 yards. He improved on the sixth-best yards per game average in the country, and topped 3000 yards for the second time in three seasons. UCLA is a completely different team with Rosen on the field than it is when he is forced to sit out games, as we learned last year as well.

At this point the Heisman Trophy is out of reach for Rosen, who entered 2017 as one of the preseason favorites. But now that the Bruins are 5-5 on the year, a bowl game is still a possibility as he prepares to enter the NFL Draft next spring. Another big performance bolstered his first-round draft stock and fortified his pro prospects entering the homestretch of his final college campaign.
