Trent Harris played a big role on pass rush downs for Miami on Saturday. The senior backup defensive end had two sacks on Irish quarterback Brandon Wimbush to stall two Notre Dame drives.

Harris helped crank up the intensity in Hard Rock Stadium, after Miami had taken a two score lead, Harris sacked Wimbush on first down, firing up the hometown crowd even more. His second sack came during the only touchdown drive the Irish had all night, as he took down Wimbush again on a first down inside the Miami’s 20-yard line.

The Canes sacked Irish quarterbacks a grand total of five times, with Harris leading the charge with his two sacks. He and fellow defensive end Joseph Jackson made life miserable for Wimbush and backup Ian Book. Miami has had a solid defensive line all year, and they simply outclassed the helpless Notre Dame offensive line.
